Re-qualification is required annually
- Identify material specifications and installation practices for polyethylene pipe
- Join plastic pipe using Butt Fusion, Socket Fusion, Sidewall Fusion, Electro-fusion
- Control Static Electricity on plastic piping
F-2 Join Plastic Pipe with Mechanical Fittings (regulated by 49 CFR 192.460 )
Re-qualification is required annually
- Identify material specifications and installation practices for polyethylene pipe
- Join plastic pipe with mechanical compression & stab type fittings
- Control Static Electricity on plastic piping
- Hands-on skills assessment
H-1 Install Meter and Regulator Sets
- Identify installation procedures for domestic gas meters and regulator sets
H-2 Install Service Lines
- Installation of domestic gas service lines
I-1 Controlling Corrosion (4 tasks)
- Inspection of exposed piping for evidence of atmospheric corrosion
M-3 Test Service Lines
- Test domestic gas service lines
I-1P Controlling Corrosion (4 tasks)
- Inspection of exposed piping for evidence of atmospheric corrosion
M-7P Prevent Accidental Ignition (Plumbers / Contractors)
- Identify conditions, causes, and possible hazards related to gas leakage
M-10 Abandon/Deactivate gas pipeline systems
- Identify procedures basic to abandoning / deactivating gas pipeline facilities
